- Dedicated mode dial: PHOTO / VIDEO / S&Q (slow & quick);
- Larger sensor (26MP vs 24.2MP) and upgraded processor;
- HLG & 10‑bit color (first gen was 8‑bit);
- Higher‑capacity NP‑FZ100 battery (replaces NP‑FZ50);
- Slightly larger grip — actually a plus: it sits much more comfortably in hand;
- Improved LCD screen;
- Reduced rolling shutter;
- Separate memory card slot with SD UHS‑II support — easier, faster card swaps.

Our verdict: Adding HLG and 10‑bit color takes this little powerhouse to a whole new level. Footage now holds up to serious color grading. It's a solid workhorse for travel, expeditions, or any shoot where weight and size matter most.
